Theatre Development Fund's Autism Theatre Initiative is proud to present an autism-friendly performance of THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME at The Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 W 47th Street) on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at 1:30PM.
To create an autism-friendly setting, the show is being performed in a friendly, supportive environment for an audience of families and friends with children or adults who are diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder or other sensitivity issues. Slight adjustments to the production will include reduction of any jarring sounds or strobe lights. In the theatre lobby there will be quiet areas staffed with autism specialists, if anyone needs to leave their seats during the performance.

Ticket buyers should be aware that the play contains strong language and scenes with physical violence. The Broadway production states that, for the general population, the recommended age for the show is 10 or older. Please use your discretion on what may be appropriate for the teenagers and adults on the spectrum in your family.

Please note that while lighting and sound cues will be adjusted for this performance, the visual and auditory effects are still an intense aspect of the play. THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME runs approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one 20-minute intermission.
